Charity through sustainable energy production
Johan Sellin and Peter Glädt are the men behind EnergyAid. We got to know each other when we worked as specialists in the field of energy and automation technology at a large international company. We discovered quickly that we shared the same dream, to use our knowledge to create a fair future where it is most needed in the world.
What makes us unique is that we combine social entrepreneurship with measureable effects of our carbon footprint. When we install a solar cell-plant in a school we also give the children tools to make a better future for themselves and their families. The children will also get a deeper knowledge about their rights under international law and the awareness of how their lifestyle affects the environment.
All our projects are financed by shares sold to companies and individuals. When young people from Sweden sell shares they also get a chance to help other children in developing countries and at the same time get an extra income.
We guarantee that no project starts until it’s fully founded and we take personal responsibility for safe and reliable installations.
In 2017, we built our first solar cell-plant in association with Öresundskraft and Stena Recycling at the school Loi Waisi in Uganda. Now it’s time to continue our work.
The goal for 2018 is to build more solar cell plants!
