It’s obvious that you turn on the lamp when you’re doing your homeworks! It should be obvious for the kids in Loi Waisi school in Uganda too. But the lack of electricity were a problem. It was impossible to read anything after sunset. The electricity they had access to came from noisy diesel generators and were only available at daytime.

Now its time for a change. Energy Aid has, in corporation with Öresundskraft completed a solar cell-project at the school. In addition to solar cells on the roof that converts sunrays to electricity, the children also received lamps, laptops and power banks.

So now the kids at Loi Waisi school can turn on their lamps and do their homework in the evening. This is our way to make a difference and a sustainable future for all.
